
Assistant Brand Manager
Are you an experienced radio professional with a passion for shaping engaging on-air content and connecting with communities? We're seeking a dynamic Assistant Brand Manager to join our talk team in Appleton, WI.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of our radio brand's on-air execution, from talk programming and promotions to community involvement. You'll work closely with the Brand Manager to achieve ratings goals and maintain a strong presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand & Content Oversight: Assist with music rotations, promotions, station imaging, and community engagement to boost awareness and ratings.
Team Leadership: Supervise, develop, and evaluate Part-Time Brand Talents.
Promotional Strategy: Collaborate on targeted audience promotions, including prize procurement.
Community & Image: Maintain a positive station image through active community and charity event participation.
Operational Support: Contribute to budget development, attend programming meetings, and ensure FCC compliance.
Market Insight: Monitor competing media to inform strategies and maintain market awareness.
What You'll Bring:
Experience: Broadcast degree or equivalent, plus three years of professional announcing experience. Prior supervisory experience is a strong plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient with music scheduling software (e.g., MusicMaster) and AudioVault.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of radio formats, digital platforms, and FCC regulations.
Soft Skills: A "can-do" attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to customer service.
Requirements: Valid driver's license and adequate auto insurance.
