EEO Session: The FCC and EEO

In accordance with the WBA's Assistance Action Plan For EEO Compliance, your WBA is hosting the following EEO Session on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. via Zoom webinar.

The FCC continues to enforce its old rules on EEO, including the requirements for outreach programs for all job openings, annual public file reports, and regular random compliance audits. But, in addition, the new FCC has added a wrinkle to EEO enforcement – trying to end DEI programs that could lead to what it sees as prohibited discrimination. This seminar with DC Counsel David Oxenford will look at the FCC’s EEO policies so that your station can be ready for any audit, or for license renewal which, for Wisconsin radio, is less than two years away.
