METEOROLOGIST

WKOW-TV, the ABC affiliate in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin, has a rare opportunity for an energetic and compelling Meteorologist.

WKOW-TV serves a large geographical area, covering 12 counties in southern Wisconsin and a variety of weather events that keep our team busy, and our viewers engaged.

The ideal candidate must tell a compelling and clear weather story every day and be ready to react to severe weather at a moment’s notice. Our meteorologists work with state-of-the-art technology and are skilled forecasters who can also create easy-to-understand graphics.

WKOW-TV is the weather leader in the market. We put an emphasis on producing weather into our newscasts, not just relying on our meteorologists to fill time.

Qualified candidates should have a degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences. At least one year of on-air experience as a broadcast meteorologist is preferred.

Applicants must successfully pass a background screening.
