Position Summary

The Events, Activations & Engagements Specialist is an entry-level, part-time, “feet-on-the-street” role responsible for executing on-air, online, and on-site promotions and activations. This hands-on role brings MWF Madison’s brands to life in the community while creating meaningful connections between our stations, clients, and audiences. It’s ideal for anyone interested in media, marketing, live events, promotions, or digital content creation.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Event & On-Site Activations

    Assist with set-up and tear-down of promotional equipment

    Represent MWF Madison at concerts, sporting events, community events, festivals, and client activations

    Serve as a client and listener liaison at events

    Engage the public in a professional, energetic, and brand-appropriate manner

    Support on-air promotions, remote broadcasts, and station appearances

 

Digital & Online Engagement

    Capture photos and short-form video at events for web and social platforms

    Create and publish social media content (posts, stories, reels, videos)

    Assist with updating station websites using WordPress

    Support promotions across websites, social channels, and mobile apps

 

On-Air & Promotional Support

    Assist with on-air giveaways, contests, and promotions

    Support on-air talent and programming teams during live broadcasts

    Maintain and organize promotional materials and branded assets

 

Qualifications & Requirements

 

Required

    Part-time availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

    Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean driving record

    Ability to lift and transport promotional equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs.)

    Basic knowledge of computers, social media platforms, and WordPress

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Reliable, punctual, and professional

    Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

 

Preferred / Plus Skills

    Video and audio editing skills

    Photography or content creation experience

    Familiarity with radio, podcasts, or live events

    Experience with social media editing or scheduling tools

Schedule & Compensation
